There will be a maximum of 7 races there may be two races on some days. If 5 races or more are sailed there will be one discard.

ÊClass bands will be decided on Echo club performance handicaps. Western Yacht Club would like to extend their
congratulations to the Crew of Yacht Dis-a-ray who were the proud recipients of the very prestigious Clifden Cup last weekend at
the Clifden regatta. In an event that saw many competitors attend from the length of the West Coast, the Clifden Boat Club can be very proud
of another successful event. Congratulations to all concerned and we will see you next year. Sat 3rd Hartman Jewellers Cup. Brief 3pm Marina centre. Presentation Buggles Bar. Sun 4th Galleon Cup. Brief 11.00am Marina Centre. Presentation Galleon after racing. Sun 4th Round the Islands Cup. As soon as possible after the Galleon Cup Presentation Galleon after racing. Best boat overall wins Commodores Cup you must compete in all races. You may enter each race separately.
Entry fee for all races 40 euro or 20 euro per race you may enter one or two races
All races are all in Echo. All prizes and cups in Echo. Results will be given in IRC. Echo handicaps will be displayed in the Marina centre on Sat. Echo handicaps may be revised during Regatta.

Please support our Commodore Adrian O Connell SHOREBASED NAVIGATION COURSES Brendan Travers of West Coast Cruising School writes to inform us that he will be running his Yachtmaster Shorebased courses again this year in the Oak Wood Arms Hotel in Shannon for the twelfth successive year.
According to Brendan the Yachtmaster Coastal level which he runs on Monday evenings is ideal preparation for anyone planning to be assessed for the International Certificate of Competency which is fast becoming a legal requirement in most European countries. To this end Brendan has arranged with the Kilrush Creek Adventure Centre (an I.S.A. approved assessment centre for the ICC ) for a 20% discount off the assessment fee for this years W.C.C.S. students for the months of March/April and September/October 2006.
Brendan who has just recently returned from a three month cruise to the West Coast of Scotland in his gaff-cutter SEOIDIN will be happy to provide full details of his forthcoming shorebased courses to anyone calling him on 087-2351976.
