Hosted by the Western Yacht Club.
At Kilrush, Co. Clare.
Come for a great weekend of Topper Racing on the magnificent waters of the Shannon Estuary off Kilrush Marina organised by the Western Yacht Club.
Two days of exciting racing with different types of races each day.
A full social programme will be provided for the Topper participants with food, drink and entertainment facilities laid on at the dockside.

Munster Regional Topper Championships - Notice of Race
On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September, 2007.

NOTICE OF RACE
1 Rules: The series will be governed by The racing rules of sailing 2005-08. The rules of the International Topper Class Association and the prescriptions of the ISA shall apply. The organizing authority shall be Western Yacht Club. Kilrush. Co. Clare.
2 Advertising: Advertising shall be to Category C
3 Eligibility and Entry: All helmsmen must be fully paid up members of the Irish Topper Class Association. Sailors using full Topper Rigs and 4.2m Rigs are welcome.
4 Fees: £30/50 for entries received before 01 Sept 2007. - Entry Fee: £40//66 for entries received after 01st Sept. 2007. Entries should be sent to Therese Young. Secretary WYC. "Tirnanog" Cappa. Kilrush. Co. Clare. OR by entering on the day. Entries shall be on an official Entry Form.
5 Schedule: Registration will be from 09.00hrs and will close at 10.00 hrs on Sat 8th Sept 2007. A sailor's BRIEFING will be held on the Saturday morning at 9.30hrs.
The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race on Saturday 8th 2007 is 11.30hrs. The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race on Sunday 9th Sept is 10.30hrs.
There will be 3 races on the Saturday and 3 races on the Sunday. These races will be run back-to
back.
Competitors are advised to bring their own lunch in a sealed package marked with their name and sail number.
6 Sailing instructions shall be available at Registration.
7 Venue: The racing areas will be described within the sailing instructions
8 Courses: The courses to be sailed will be listed in the sailing instructions
9 Penalty System: The penalties are as stated in RRS 44.1 and 44.2
10 Scoring: The low point scoring system shall apply. 3 races are required to be completed to constitute a championship. When 3 races have been completed the boats score will be the total of her race scores. When from 4 to 6 races have been completed a boats score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
11 Prizes: Prizes shall be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall and the 1st lady. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, Prizes may be awarded for the 4.2M fleet depending on numbers (ratio 1:4). Prizes shall also be awarded in age categories. There shall be 3 categories depending on age as at 01.01.07, i.e. Under 12yrs Under 14yrs Under 16yrs. No sailor may win more than one prize.
12 Insurance Disclaimer:LIABILITY AND INSURANCE - Competitors participate in this event entirely at their own risk, see RRS 4, Decision to Race. The safety of a boat and her entire management including insurance shall be the sole and inescapable responsibility of the owner/person in charge who must ensure that the boat and crew are adequate to face conditions that could arise during the event. Neither the organizing authority nor the host club, their officials or volunteers shall be responsible for any loss, damage, or death or personal injury however caused as a result of any person taking part in the event. Each owner/person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the competitor and boat sailed in this event hold adequate third party insurance cover to a minimum of £2,000,000/3,000,000.
