Glin Castle Race

The Glin Castle Race takes place annually on the Shannon Estuary with a reception afterwards at Glin Castle. We invite you to come and join us in one of the longest established races on the Shannon.
This year the Glin Castle race will take place on Saturday, 14th September. First gun at 12:00 at Glin Pier.
Registration can be done online or entry forms will be available at Glin Pier between 1000 and 1130 on Saturday 14 September. Races will be scored according to IRC & ECHO handicaps. Results will be available online post race or via a WhatsApp Group specifically for the race.

October Series
Sunday 6th, 13th, 20th and Saturday 26th October, 2024
The October Series is run annually every weekend in October. Sailing takes place the first three (or four) Sundays in October and historically has always concluded on the final Saturday in October. The event is open to club members and visiting boats. Racing takes place in the beautiful Shannon Estuary in the area surrounding Scattery Island and may be a mixture of windward/leeward, olympic or round the can type course.
